A Host Family takes children into their home while a parent is working through a difficult situation. Hostings last anywhere from a couple of days up to one year with the average being 6 weeks. Families who would like to provide any care for a child IN their own home will need to complete the authorization process for a host home. Complete the application below to start the process for host family authorization.

A Family Friend, works with an at-risk family that would benefit from a healthy support system. And Family Friends can also support Host Families by providing meals, respite care, transportation, etc. Complete the application below if you would like to volunteer as a Family Friend. (If you intend to babysit for a host or placing family IN your own home, you will need to complete a host family application)

Family Friend Application

A Family Coach supports the host family, hosted child, and parents in need. Volunteer family coaches visit the host home weekly,  facilitate visits between the hosted child and parent in need, and help the parent secure the appropriate resources to help them move from crisis to stability.
